ABACHA IN ENGLISH CALLED AFRICAN SALAD IS A DELICACY YOU WON'T FORGET IN A BIT

 The recipe instructions for Abacha (African salad):


Ingredients:

- 2 cups dried Abacha (African salad leaves)

- 1 cup dried fish

- 1/2 cup crayfish

- 1/2 cup palm oil

- 1 onion, chopped

- 2 Scotch bonnet peppers, chopped

- Salt and seasoning cubes

- 1/2 cup sliced utazi leaves (optional)


Instructions:

1. Rinse the dried Abacha leaves and soak them in water for about 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.

2. Grind the dried fish and crayfish together until well combined.

3. Heat the palm oil in a large pot over medium heat.

4. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.

5. Add the chopped Scotch bonnet peppers and sauté for another minute.

6. Add the ground fish and crayfish mixture, salt, and seasoning cubes. Stir well.

7. Add the soaked Abacha leaves to the pot and stir until they are well coated with the fish and crayfish mixture.

8. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

9. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

10. Serve hot, garnished with sliced utazi leaves if desired.
