The instructions for Yam Porridge:
1. Peel and chop 2-3 medium-sized yams into small pieces.
2. Boil 2 cups of water in a large pot.
3. Add 1 onion, 2 cloves of garlic, and 1 teaspoon of salt to the pot.
4. Add the chopped yams to the pot and boil until tender.
5. Reduce heat and mash some of the yams to thicken the porridge.
6. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes or until the desired consistency is reached
